There is no better way to spend the fall than watching the leaves change color from greens to vibrant sunset hues. As a Southern California girl, seasons are very mild and I really had never experienced an East Coast fall and it exceeded all my expectations. I came determined to capture photos while I was visiting my mom in Charlotte, North Carolina and through the grapevine I found Bryce and Gabi. They were immediately SO excited to run around and capture some memories together since they recently relocated to Charlotte. It was a perfect way for them to explore and fall in love with their new home and it was a win for me because of the art I got to create. 

As we set out for our photoshoot, the crisp autumn air filled our lungs, and the golden light of late afternoon bathed the park in a warm glow. We chose to shoot at Reedy park, a little national park on the outskirts of Charlotte. We started with some candid shots of Bryce and Gabi walking hand-in-hand, laughter echoing through the trees as they playfully raced to the next location. 

With the sun beginning to set, we ventured deeper into the woods, I directed them to share a quiet moment, allowing the environment to envelop them. They seemed to fit into the scene effortlessly, embodying the essence of fall—warm, comforting, and full of life.

Reflecting on the day, I realized that capturing these moments went beyond just photography. It was about creating lasting memories, not only for Bryce and Gabi but for myself as well. Each click of the camera documented an afternoon filled with connection, joy, and the beauty of a North Carolina fall. 

In a world that often rushes by, it was a gentle reminder to pause, cherish moments, and embrace new beginnings.
