There’s something magical about photographing a wedding in the serene beauty of Oak Glen, California. Nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains, Oak Glen offers the perfect mix of lush greenery, majestic views, and crisp mountain air—a dream backdrop for couples looking to tie the knot in nature. Holly and Tristan’s wedding was nothing short of breathtaking, and I’m thrilled to share their story through my lense.
Holly and Tristan radiated love for each other and every family member and friend showed so much care and love for them as they made the day run smoothly. As their wedding photographer, I had the privilege of witnessing their connection firsthand. Their love truly felt like watching Jim and Pam (from the Office) fall in love.
Holly and Tristan tied the knot at the Homestead in Oak Glen. The couple chose a gorgeous outdoor venue in Oak Glen, famous for its rolling hills, towering oak trees, and charming apple orchards. The setting was ideal for their rustic yet elegant mountain wedding theme. The golden hour light filtering through the trees created an ethereal glow, perfect for capturing timeless, warm-toned photographs. The venue was incredible and felt intimate and secluded.
The Details: Rustic Elegance Meets Natural Beauty
Holly and Tristan’s wedding was meticulously planned, with every detail reflecting their personalities and shared love of nature. The ceremony arch was adorned with lush greenery and delicate blooms, complementing the surrounding landscape. The reception featured wooden accents, fairy lights, and earthy tones that seamlessly blended with the mountain setting. From Holly’s lace wedding dress that moved gracefully in the breeze to Tristan’s classic suit with a mountain-inspired boutonniere, every element was picture-perfect.
Tristan’s reaction to seeing Holly for the first time was priceless. His face lit up with pure joy, and Holly’s tears of happiness made for one of the most touching photos of the day. The ceremony was right in front of a stunning mountain backdrop and the natural light and panoramic views made every shot a work of art.
Golden Hour Portraits: After the ceremony, we snuck off to grab some golden-hour portraits after Holly and Tristan shared private vows. We followed their portraits with their romantic first dance under twinkling lights and ended it with heartfelt speeches from family and friends, the reception was filled with laughter, tears, and unforgettable memories. Holly and Tristan leaned into the rustic vibe and added in a smores bar and a private last dance under the stars.
